The second annual Adventure Sports Week takes off Friday and runs through June 24. You can compete or simply enjoy the action and entertainment.

As for competitive events, there will be a bike race, runs, stand-up paddleboard races and an off-road triathlon. If you want a “tune up,” experts will host clinics on mountain biking, fitness and diet, and open-water swimming.

A schedule of family-friendly entertainment will include music concerts, comedy acts, car shows, dining, easy hiking, dancing, a summer solstice festival, movies, fireworks, and winetasting at the annual Tahoe City Wine Walk (www.tahoecitywinewalk.com).
