Training Plan

The Tahoe Off Road Triathlon training plan is presented by Elite Triathlon Performance America (ETPA). Raeleigh Harris, Director and Head Coach of ETPA has spent more than 30 years competing and coaching endurance sport athletes while the ETPA coach’s network draws on decades of experience both the USA and Australia. To ensure your success on race day the training plan is written to accommodate even those with busy lifestyles. These plans are written for the newer triathlete as well as the triathlete seeking course specific training guidance. Race preparation, basic nutrition, performance, transitions, injury prevention and recovery are all addressed in the prescribed intensity, duration and testing portions of the training program.

Elite Triathlon Performance America “ETPA”

Founded in 2008 in Australia, ETPA has developed into an industry leader branching out to the USA in 2013. Now established in the East Bay and Lake Tahoe, ETPA continues to offer the Triathlon and Endurance racing community fully customized and group training plans for all levels of athletes sprint through Ironman distance from beginner to world class. Coach Raeleigh Harris – Training Provider for Big Blue Adventure and Head Coach of ETPA

Raeleigh Harris is an elite level triathlete, accomplished coach, and motivational mentor focusing on helping people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds discover their true potential.  Known for the transformative power of her approach, Raeleigh has an intention-based method of training built on four principles – safety, fun, education, and trust.  As the Director and Head Coach of Elite Triathlon Performance America (ETPA), Raeleigh draws on her 30-years of coaching and racing knowledge to guide and inspire athletes, build their confidence, improve performance, and support their athletic journey. 

Raeleigh has been involved in triathlon since 1987 as a junior, winning her first Australian state series.  Since then, she has competed in hundreds of triathlons, duathlons, and multisport events, including four 70.3 World Ironman Championships, becoming the Age Group World Champion in 2016.  She holds an Honors degree in Human Movement & Sports Management from the University of Ballarat, and is a USA Triathlon (USAT) and Triathlon Australia (TA) certified coach.
